Jeremy Wertheimer

Jeremy Wertheimer founded and served as the CEO of ITA Software, a software company which powered the websites of major airlines and the travel site Orbitz. After Google aquired ITA, he was VP of Engineering at Google for 8 years. He is currently the CEO of Biological Engineering Ventures, a biotech incubator that mentors and funds tough tech and biological engineering related startups. Mr. Wertheimer is a visiting scientist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and has co-founded companies in computational antibody design, super-resolution microscopy, synthetic cells, computational protein design, online learning, mental wellness, and space.

Jeremy received a BE in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union, and both an SM in Computer Science and a PhD from MIT in Artificial Intelligence, with a minor in Neuroscience.  He currently serves as a director on various boards, including MIT Engine and MIT Sandbox and was a Trustee of Cooper Union.
