David Solomont

David Solomont
Founder & CEO

Mr. Solomont has over 40 years’ experience in the information technology, interactive media and software industries. He is an active investor and advisor to early-stage technology companies and was the founder of CommonAngels in Boston, one of the first institutionalized angel groups in the country. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Tufts University and a master’s degree in management from MIT’s Sloan School. He is a founding Trustee and past Chairman of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council and previously served on the Information Technology Committee at the Museum of Science, Boston and as an Advisor to the Internet Working Group at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Mr. Sabitus is an experienced corporate executive who has led both emerging and established publicly traded companies. He has previously served as CEO of Row One Brands, Inc.; CFO of Modern Shoe Company; VP Finance for Maxwell Shoe Company; VP Business Development for Myteam.com/Zvia.com; and worked for Converse Inc., where he served as the Brand Manager for several product lines, including the Converse All Star, and as Controller, overseeing a public offering.

Mr. Burmeister is evTS’ VP of Sales & Business Development and has held numerous executive sales positions within the specialized and electric vehicle industries over the past 20 years. He was most recently the Director of National Sales and Business Development for Westward Industries and has held both national and regional sales positions with eFleets Corporation, ZENN Motor Company and Global Electric Motors (GEM).

Greg Horne
Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Horne serves as Chief Technology Officer, directing evTS’ vehicle development efforts and is responsible for the vision of bringing the new model year FireFly ESV to market, as well as the company’s future all-electric utility vehicle offerings. He is also CEO of Advanced Microcontrols, Inc. (AMI) an elevator controls technology manufacturer. Previously, he served as CTO of eFleets Corporation, was a design engineer at Bell Helicopter, and he worked on software and flight testing for the Bell/Boeing V-22 Osprey.

Mr. Barrett is an experienced senior executive and serial entrepreneur with 45 years of experience over a progressive career in the automotive and electronics industries. He previously served as COO for Fixed Ops Pros, NavResearch and Cimble Corporation and also held numerous operating, product development, and infrastructure related positions over a 20+ year tenure at LoJack Corporation, including VP of International Operations, where he was on the boards of several international corporations.

Todd Marcucci
Vice President of Engineering

Mr. Marcucci was the VP of Research & Development for eFleets Corporation, leading the team that originally designed, produced, and supported the FireFly ESV, coordinating engineering activities with sales, marketing, and production. He previously managed the worldwide lab operations for Littelfuse, Inc., responsible for circuit protection device characterization and global customer applications testing, and has consulted on a number of other EV and ICE powertrain, traction battery, and motorsports projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University.

Shelley Berkely

Ms. Berkley is CEO and Senior Provost for Touro University (Nevada) Western Division, in this role, she oversees two of the fastest-growing medical schools in the western United States. Prior to joining Touro, Shelley served the State of Nevada in the United States House of Representatives from 1998 to 2013. She was the first woman to serve the District and held the position for seven terms, serving on the Transportation, Small Business, Veterans Affairs, Foreign Affairs and Ways and Means Committees. Prior to serving in Congress, Shelley served in the Nevada State Legislature, and was twice elected to the Nevada State Board of Regents, serving from 1990 to 1998. She has also been an attorney for the Nevada State Commerce Department, in-house counsel for Southwest Gas Corporation, and was Vice President for Government and Legal Affairs for the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas.

Dr. Bachrach was most recently Senior Vice President, MTS Sensors Division. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer of ROAM Data, a leading mobile applications, hardware and payment gateway service provider and as the President of Murata Power Solutions, a $180 million supplier of board mounted power and power electronics. Prior to that, Dr. Bachrach held various management and business leadership positions with WAY Systems, KEMET Electronics Corporation, InphoMatch and the General Electric Company. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, a Ph.D. and M.S. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Northwestern University, and an M.S. in the Management of Technology from MIT’s Sloan School.

Mr. Herman is a seasoned investor with many years of investment and advisory experience. Since 2005, he has managed Strategic Turnaround Equity Partners, LP (Cayman), and is a registered representative with Arcadia Securities LLC, a FINRA-registered broker-dealer based in New York.  He has also been a managing member of Abacoa Capital Management, LLC, focusing on Global-Macro investment strategy. Prior to that, he was an investment banker with Burnham Securities, Inc., and had been a managing partner of Kingshill Group, Inc., a multinational merchant banking and financial firm. Mr. Herman has both public and private company board experience and presently sits in the boards of XS Financial, Inc., and Diagnostic Lab Corporation, Inc. Recently he has worked with Frank Stronach, the founder and Chairman Emeritus of Magna International, Ltd, one of the world’s largest automotive OEM suppliers. He holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University at Albany, with minors in Business and Music.

Robert R. Beuret

Mr. Bueret has decades of experience managing financial institutions and formerly served at the Fort Lauderdale branch of full-service investment company Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. as a Limited Partner and Regional Vice President, opening several retail brokerage offices and the acquisition of a company in the hospitality industry. He then became Senior Vice President of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) in New York, where he oversaw both local and overseas offices of the organization. Through the years, he has also served in senior management positions for such firms as AG Edwards, First Albany, and CP Baker & Co and started several entrepreneurial ventures including financial services firms and the Art Deco Hotels (ADH) in Miami Beach, Florida. Bob is a graduate of Cornell University and received his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Harvey C. Jones

Harvey C. Jones has been the managing partner of Square Wave Ventures, a private investment firm, since 2004. Mr. Jones has been an entrepreneur, high technology executive and active venture investor for over 30 years. He co-founded Daisy Systems Corp., a computer-aided engineering company, serving as its president and chief executive officer. He then led Synopsys. Inc., a major electronic design automation company, as its chief executive officer and then as executive chairman. In 1997, Mr. Jones co-founded Tensilica Inc., a privately held technology IP company that developed and licensed high performance embedded processing cores.

Mr. Jones presently serves on the board of directors of Nvidia Corporation and has done so since 1993.

Scott Miller

Mr. Miller is Vice President Worldwide Business Operations at ChargePoint. He has more than 20 years of B2B technology sales and service management experience with such companies as Oracle, where he was Vice President & General Manager North American Operations, SPL WorldGroup, as VP EMEA Utilities Global Business Unit, and Empirix as VP Europe.

Scott holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and an MBA in Industrial Marketing from Harvard Business School.

Corey Clothier

Corey Clothier

Mr. Clothier builds autonomous vehicle (AV) programs and partnerships accelerating deployment of AVs working with some of the most innovative tech companies (Aurrigo, Via, Quantum Signal, Robotic Research, IBM, Alpine, Pratt & Miller, Local Motors), federal agencies (DOD, VA, DOT, Innovate UK) and cities (Las Vegas, Honolulu, Tampa, London, Dubai). He co-developed the US Army’s Applied Robotics for Installation and Base Operations (ARIBO) program, a featured Smart America Challenge project which led to the first US AV pilot at Fort Bragg, NC. Currently working with Stantec, Corey is among the most active developers of automated mobility systems in the world.

Kent Larson

Kent Larson directs the City Science (formerly Changing Places) group at the MIT Media Lab. His research focuses on developing urban interventions that enable more entrepreneurial, livable, high-performance districts in cities. To that end, his projects include advanced simulation and augmented reality for urban design, transformable micro-housing for millennials, mobility-on-demand systems that create alternatives to private automobiles and Urban Living Lab deployments in Hamburg, Andorra, Taipei, and Boston.  Mr. Larson and researchers from his group received the “10-Year Impact Award” from UbiComp 2014. This is a “test of time” award for work that, with the benefit of hindsight, has had the greatest impact over the previous decade.

Mr. Larson practiced architecture for 15 years in New York City, with design work published in Architectural RecordProgressive ArchitectureGlobal ArchitectureThe New York TimesA+U, and Architectural Digest.

Dr. Mike Zimmerman

Dr. Mike Zimmerman is the Founder of Ionic Materials, a materials technology company that is developing a polymer electrolyte technology for solid state batteries. Prior to Ionic Materials, Mike founded Quantum leap Packaging (QLP) which invented then developed a new liquid crystal polymer technology used for high frequency semiconductor packaging, and high frequency films for 5G systems. He also worked at Bell Laboratories developing materials processes for semiconductor packaging and materials for bringing fiber connectivity to the home. Mike has been a Professor at Tufts University for more than 25 years. As a “Professor of the Practice” in the new Materials Science program, he teaches classes and advises students from an industrial perspective.

Mike has a BS, MS, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering, and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), MIT, and University of Pennsylvania.
